I really look forward to getting my Play! by Sephora Box every month. At this point in time it is the only makeup I get as I have not been inspired to get any makeup. This months box is all about “Desert Island Essentials” it is very skincare based which is what I love about the boxes. I am in the process of trying new skincare and get a routine that best suits my needs.
I actually don’t have this one and I was really excited for it until I opened it and realised that it was shattered and messed everywhere. I will be pressing it down and hopefully I will be able to get some use out of it. I did contact Sephora and they were not very helpful so I am hoping to get a new one or even a refund. I will keep you updated on that! In general though, I love these highlighters. I prefer having the smaller ones as you never go through a whole highlighter.
Lancome bi-facil double-action eye makeup remover (NOT CRUELTY FREE)
This is an award winning product so I am hoping that it will work well. This is what it says in the description of what it is: “This formula activates when shaken to gently whisk away even waterproof eye makeup while conditioning and refreshing the skin. Ideal for sensitive skin and contact lenses, it leaves eyes feeling cool and relaxed without an oily residue. ”
Isle of Paradise self- tanning drops in Medium (CRUELTY FREE AND VEGAN)
I have never tried something like this and I have never really had a problem being a pale person but I think that I will give this a try because it really intrigues me and it will be cool to have a light tan especially if you do it gradually. What you are supposed to do is to add it to your dailymoisturizer and it will gradually give you a healthy tan.
Kiehl’s since 1851 Ginger leaf & Hibiscus Firming mask (NOT CRUELTY FREE)
I love me a good overnight mask and this one looks really cool so I am excited to try it out. This is what it says on the website: “This face mask helps skin feel firmer and smoother overnight. The richly textured formula is infused with ginger leaf and hibiscus, whose flowers close and preserve its nectar overnight. This mask also helps to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines over time.”
Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser (CRUELTY FREE)
This is a good cleanser for everyone, no matter the type of skin you have. This is what they say about it: “This luxurious cleanser made with Greek yogurt is rich in proteins, minerals, and vitamins to gently cleanse while nourishing—leaving skin soft and supple, and reducing redness. The formula also easily removes makeup and impurities without irritation. The cleanser includes amaranth seed extract to soothe, as well as calming honeysuckle to provide antibacterial benefits. ”
Overall, this month there are only 2 cruelty free products in this box. Although I do only shop cruelty free, I do get these boxes because I do like them and I hope that one day they will come out with just cruelty free boxes as there are so many options in Sephora to do this. Did you get this box? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments below. If you want to have a look at the previous month’s boxes, you can have a look at the ‘makeup section’ in the blog!
